Case study · Sabancı Renewables

We supported module procurement for Sabancı Renewables' U.S. investment.

We wrote the technical specification the modules had to meet, and checked the modules produced against it through their production data.

What the project aims at

In international solar investments, equipment procurement requires production and project requirements in different countries to be assessed together. We gave technical support to the solar module procurement for Sabancı Renewables' U.S. investment.

Our role

We prepared the technical documentation and led the technical negotiations with the module manufacturer. We checked the modules produced against that specification: we assessed the I-V test results of every module shipped from China to the U.S., and reviewed all the electroluminescence (EL) images with image-processing tools we developed ourselves.

Our contribution

Combining our engineering knowledge with tools developed in-house, we contributed to the technical assessment and quality control of the module procurement. The work shows our ability to review a large volume of production data on an international investment.
