Condition & Performance Verification (Investment Valuation)

Where power plants change hands or are refinanced, the physical condition of the plant is inspected, the actual generation data is verified by measurement, and the findings are presented as a report.

Performance Verification at Handover

Before final acceptance, we compare measured plant performance with the contractual guarantees and quantify any identified shortfall.

  1. 01Performance measured

Actual output is assessed against the guaranteed Performance Ratio under defined test conditions.

  2. 02Punch list reviewed

Construction findings are reviewed and their closure status documented before handover.

  3. 03Shortfalls quantified

Where performance differs from the guarantee, the gap is calculated to support the contractual claim process.

  4. 04How the PR is determined

The Performance Ratio is the energy the plant delivers to the grid over the test period, divided by the energy expected from the irradiance on the module plane and the installed DC capacity over the same period. It is determined by the method the contract defines or, where it defines none, under IEC 61724-1, with temperature correction where the contract provides for it.

  5. 05Where the production data comes from

Production is taken from the plant's meter records and from SCADA and inverter logs; irradiance and temperature from calibrated sensors on site. The data is checked for completeness and consistency before it is analysed.
