Field Engineering

General qualities and job description

We are looking for field engineers who are passionate about solar energy and want to contribute to projects on site. The role has no fixed location and involves travelling to project sites in Türkiye and abroad.

General qualities:

• Motivated by achieving results as a team, disciplined and responsible,

• Focused, and sees finishing what they start as their responsibility,

• Believes they can bring new ideas to the solar power plant sector,

• A university graduate in electrical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, or energy systems engineering,

• Holds a driving licence and drives regularly, is free to travel, and can stay near the project site for set periods,

• Has experience of the construction phase of solar power plants (SPPs) and/or of electrical test measurements,

• Able to stay at SPP sites at home or abroad, full time or part time.

Technical qualities and responsibilities:

• Supervising plant construction by checking the design, the equipment and the installation work during the construction phase,

• Checking that the site conforms to the designs,

• Reviewing and assessing change requests that arise during construction,

• Sharing with the team, and reporting, any technical problem encountered on the plant site,

• Supporting the recording, analysis and resolution of problems with construction work on site,

• Able to look up and read engineering standards when needed,

• Familiar with specification and contract management, and able to analyse technical requirements for each project,

• Enjoys reading and interpreting documents (specifications, legislation, IEC standards, tenders and so on),

• Strong reporting and presentation skills,

• Experience of tests such as current-voltage (I-V) measurement, insulation, earthing and thermal measurement,

• Carrying out on-site inspections of solar plants in accordance with IEC 62446.
